Did you know these 12 facts about Marie?

1.    She was born in Chicago, Illinois but she grew up in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

2.    Her father was a rocket scientist at NASA during the Apollo Moon Program.

3.    Her mother was a fashion model before Marie was born, and eventually became a community activist during Marie’s childhood. Marie’s lifelong obsession with fashion started very early as a result of her mother’s influence.

4.    While in her senior year of high school, Marie was homeless for six months and yet she still graduated with her class.

5.    She owned Aria Model & Talent management for 13 years before selling the business to Ford Models.

6.    She has authored two internationally published print books and one domestic audiobook on how to become a model.

7.    She tested for her Shodan (first-degree black belt) in Shidokan Karate in Tokorozawa, Japan, in 2003, and for her Nidan (second-degree black belt) in Chicago, Illinois, in 2021.

8.    She teaches women’s self-defense at Chicago Fitness Center.

9.    She is a survivor of multiple violent traumas, including child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

10. Although Marie modeled throughout her life, she prefers being behind the camera.

11. She passionately advocates for models and all creatives to have safer working environments free of sexual impropriety and verbal abuse.

12. She has over 18 years of being clean and sober.
